Cracker Barrel

Stopped in for dinner with the family , it’s been a while since we have had Cracker Barrel. Over all the experience was nice . The waitress was super nice but you can tell she was over worked and had a lot of tables she did an awesome job too. I had the fish fry dinner and it was awesome . Hash brown casserole was amazing . My sons meatloaf was a little cold but he said it was good . Neat gift shop with some cool old school candies .

Great food! Great service! I love Cracker Barrel not only for their delicious, home style food, but for the little country store with many nice, unique items to purchase. I enjoy buying their Christmas ornaments & decorations around the holiday season. They always have unique items that you won't find at Walmart, Target....etc. The prices are good too. We have been to many Cracker Barrels across the country and always get a good home cooked meal. We'll be back!

I haven't been to this place in over too many years, and now that I've gone for breakfast, after such a long break, I realized how good it was and how great the atmosphere is. Their breakfast is great. I had the Grandma's Sampler with eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrown casserole, and my favorite, their pancakes. I love the slight crispy edges and the 100% pure maple syrup...way better than corn syrup stuff. I will be back sooner than the previous several year lapse.

Cracker Barrel is usually a favorite for my wife and I but our visit to the Merrillville location on 8/28/21 was somewhat disappointing. The waitress had a very poor attitude. I had the pumpkin spice latte and the wife ordered plain coffee, the waitress asked if she wanted black and her not realizing said yes as not to confuse the waitress with a specialty coffee. When we asked for cream the waitress insisted that she specifically said black coffee w/o cream and told us that if we wanted cream we should have said so in the beginning. Maybe we changed our mind, big deal, bring cream. I ordered two eggs and a biscuit. The eggs were dry and the biscuits looked like the San Andreas Fault the grits could have been used for grout, they should be ashamed of such dried food. On a good note my wife ordered the New Bacon n' Egg Hashbrown Casserole which was extremely delicious the temperature of everything was like warm at best.
