Chicken and chips are great but open hours are now incredibly inconsistent. Is it permanently closed or what? Make up your mind.

Now Malvern Eats but previously La Gallina Charcoal Chicken, Grill and Caffe, this place has seen a few management changes over the years and while I've enjoyed the veggie burger and addictive chips, the cafe has been a bit of a hit and miss regarding quality of the food, the portion sizes and the service. Hopefully all this will improve now that it's again under new management. The big plus for Malvern Eats is that it's open late so perfect for the night owls.

The serving was VERY reasonable for its price. Got the Mexican burger and the patty was huge and juicy! Definitely eating here again and will try the other burgers.

Late night service is good but unfortunately I did not enjoy the food, it may be better for the meat dishes but as far as the veggie burger goes it was mediocre. The burgers ingredients were mostly fine except for the patty. I recommend a change of patty. The chips werent great. Too greasy and overly fried leaving a poor taste in the mouth.

Decided to give this place a try tonight and we're so glad we did. The chicken here never looked very appetising, in fact we've been here before but years ago. I think it's under new management as the place has a different vibe about it and menu has improved quite a lot since our last visit. <br/><br/>We decided to go with a jalapeno burger and parma burger with a medium chips. Firstly, the service was super friendly, relaxed and most importantly to us efficient. They had our orders ready in about five minutes which in itself was very impressive. <br/><br/>Our chips were lovely and fluffy. Both burgers were delectable, but honorable mention goes to the parma burger which was beautiful and crispy. Both are served on a lovely brioche bun and are reasonably priced. <br/><br/>Thanks guys for a lovely dinner and pleasant visit. We would like to come back and have more of that parma burger!

Second time here and love the tasty succulent charcoal chicken. Lovely 'new' owner who has owned this place for about 5 months. Gave me a great deal with the chicken and threw in a sample of one of the new salads. Chips unfortunately had been sitting there for too long. Other than that, they're experimenting with lamb and hope to offer gyros soon with proper garlic sauce and everything. I'm definitely up for trying that too! Thanks for a great dinner to warm up our bellies on this cold winter's night when we were too lazy to cook :)

Just moved into the area and tried this place for the first time....Seems they've just changed owners. We had half chicken and chips and my husband tried the chicken jalapeños burger. Wow yum!! Definitely not your average charcoal chicken shop burger. I don't usually go for charcoal chicken but this was so moist and yum... the chips were thick and seasoned not oily. would definitely go back and next time try some salads too.

Really dodgy burgers and didn't follow order requests. Long delivery time, however their chips were good. Haven't tried the chicken but I hope not to.

Came here after multiple attempts as they are always closed when we wanted to try them out. Must say it was very disappointing. Came in for dinner and there were chickens that looked like they were cooked in the morning. There wasn't much to choose from so we just got a whole chicken and chips. We were after the portuguese style chicken but was dissapointed to discover that it was just normal chicken, which may have been nice if it was made more recently. The chips were also not edible along with the dim sims that the owner decided to give away and as I found out was not because he was trying to be generous, but it was because they were old and getting stale. We opted not to get salad as there was 2-3 options which looked old also. Needless to say we couldn't eat it all and we definitely won't be back.

This is my second time coming here. I stopped in yesterday for take away with a friend and got the special on the menu. Quarter chicken with 2 sides and a soda. Damn delicious! The service was good, place was clean and wasn't busy. Totally love their gravy.

Ordered whole chicken with medium fresh chips, 2 dimsims (+2 for free), 2 potato cakes (+2 for free), and 3 chicken wings for only $28. Nice and friendly owner, quick service and affordable price. Definitely come back again.
