Balagan Kitchen

Sacha and the team at Balagan Kitchen have made a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming and still vibrant. The food is delicious - with a standout being the beef brisket! It’s awesome when you head to a place where the food is delicious and there is so much more on the menu that you know that you have to come back to try it all! The absolute standout was the staff though, they are so happy and just show a joy that their patrons are enjoying themselves. Great addition to Windsor!

Best Israeli-inspired food this side of Tel Aviv - hands down. Go for the atmosphere and chic vibe, stay for the warm, fun hospitality, return for the amazing food created by Iraqi-born chef Akad Al-Guepa, Balagan Kitchen brings all the best elements of Middle Eastern cooking to Melbs. On a visit with my brother, we tucked into some fine house-made and original cocktails, Baba ghanoush, shish, (Melbs best) roast cauliflower and mini roasted potatoes and finished with Balagan's own creamy and refreshing Halvah semifreddo. This is fun, relaxed sharable food with flair. Check it out.

Cosy fit-out, great sounding menu and friendly staff but let down but the incredibly bland, tasteless food - stodgy falafels which were barely cooked, roast cauliflower which was basically just steamed and drowned in labneh, along with hommous that was similarly devoid of taste. Definitely won't be going back.
