Bombini Buzz

Bombini was an oasis of calm amidst the movement of White Night. We had some real cool local beer on draught tap poured into bottles of about 1 litre. Kind of an upscale jug to share. It was amusing to sit in the dry zone and suck down wonderful cold beer. On one side of the planter box no beer on our side beer. The staff were really friendly and had a great manner even at 2am when we visited.

Location is gorgeous and they have a large and delicious-looking selection of sweets and baked goods. We tried a melting moment/yo yo and it was very tasty! However, although they use beautiful Seven Seeds coffee, it wasn't the best flat white I've had, perhaps as it was served in quite a large cup for a small coffee, making it milky and under-strength. Overall, an ok place for coffee, but perhaps better to satisfy the sweet tooth!

What a shame! Such a cool location. This is my first ever 1 star review. Perhaps it was because we were at the end of a long, tiring day but the coffee pick-me-up just didn't happen here. The service was uninterested, rude and ridiculously slow. The coffee (and they served a brand I am familiar with) was weak, colourless and tepid. There are SO many better options nearby that I can only recommend you walk past and find another.

Great coffee place. This is the last coffee shop if you are walking down towards Melbourne Olympic Park . Also it is great place to stop and relax as you are coming down from Flinders Train Station. You can also get a bite to eat as well with your morning coffee and nice evening place from my visit however did not experience that as of yet.

Walked in there with a group of 8 friends and immediately felt like I was in some rough pub in the outback. Loud, rock music playing, not suitable for a bar under the art centre. Not one of the two hipster looking bartenders even glanced our way or acknowledged our presence. After sitting there for 15 mins without acknowledgement we decided to walk out and find something more suitable and deserving for our business. Obviously these guys don't care about customer service. Walking back past the bar after spending some good $ at another venue we noticed their bar was closed. No wonder no one walked in there. Lesson. Pay attention to your customers!

Extremely disappointed. We had to phone ahead with our order when we made a booking only to be told"That's an old menu, there's no soup or pies". Which of course more than half our party had ordered. To add insult to injury we could only have what was in the display cabinet. Our coffees were cold and our order was wrong. Their response "That's what the order said" Sorry you can't take an order and fancy running out of nearly everything by midday!
