Great experience every time I pick up a DoorDash order, but this time, James was especially helpful and on the ball! The food always smells amazing 😊. Hand sanitizer right as you walk in, staff is diligent about wearing masks (HUGE plus in my book!)

They need to read the order correctly. I ordered a pizza with light cheese and i got it with regular cheese. My son took all the cheese off and only at the pepperoni in the crust cuz he's not a heavy cheese person. First time I ordered this a week ago it turned out perfect. They need to pay attention to how things are being made per order. And to make sure they make all the items as well. Otherwise I like this Papa johns. And normally Don't have an issue.

This was for delivery. It took a little while to get to the manager cuz I was talked to someone who is barely spoke any English and gave the order entirely backwards so that ended up wasting a little bit of time then I was transferred to someone even though I was told I was going to be talking to the manager until finally I spoke to the manager.
Now up until this point it was one star and technically they should be two separate reviews.
But when I spoke to the manager (Evan) was very understanding, patient and went above and beyond to meet my needs and to offer discounts as well as customization that they normally don't do for the pizza.
He made my night. Stellar performance.

We were having my sons graduation party at a family members house near this location so had placed a "future" order online since it's quite a drive from where we were coming from.
Two separate accidents (not involved in either) slowed us down and we were 15+ minutes late from the time but pizza wasn't ready and I had to repeat my name about 3 times.
Got the 3 pizzas and rushed to our own party that we were late for.
The order didn't seem quite right and I was still wondering why the order has "cash" instead of the credit card I was sure I had entered.
I then noticed the name on the boxes was not mine - long story short, I never checked out fully online and someone with a similar sounding last name happened to order 3 similar pizzas.
Unfortunately by the time I checked, it was after everyone had already dug in. At least I paid for it, but I feel bad I walked out with someone's order!
They have good taste though!

There wasn’t many Pizza places when I was deployed across the country but there was always a papa John’s about a 5 minute walk from the barracks. My first day back home in over a year and I go to the McHenery location after ordering on the app and not only was there a huge price change from what the app said and when I went to get my food but the Manger there, Lake I think his name was refused to compensate for an ENTIRE missing pizza upon pickup. Nonetheless didn’t expect any promocode discount or military discount even when I presented them my Common Access Card. Not only did they poorly manage my order but the situation itself to the point the manager was threatening to kick me out of the store with my family because they couldn’t compensate a 18.99$ discrepancy on their part. Unprofessional and unpatriotic

2019 Review: We moved to Woodstock last year and were really missing our Papa John's in Palatine, so we were delighted to find this location conveniently located on my route home from work. Ordered a large pizza with Italian Beef and green peppers. The bonus was that I only paid $2.14 as I had a $10 off coupon from the Rewards program. Sweet! Will definitely be back because we love our Papa John's. Only downfall is that there was no delivery option from this location to our new home.
Update Jan 2021: Got my usual this time, a large Hawaiian BBQ pizza minus the bacon. This time I substituted green pepper in place of the bacon. Order was hot and on time as always! Have to say that it concerned me to see a full working staff in such a small place during these Covid times 😕

Thank you to the wonderful manager at this location. There was a mix up with my order not being in their system and the manager at the time was very understanding and was able to get me my order in a timely fashion. I appreciate the great customer service from the manager on duty on 1/24/22

Pizza was 20 minute late, which is forgivable. However the delivery guy comes to the door knowing 2/3 off the order was missing. Told us to call and figure it out. We called, they tried to just offer a refund… but we had a hungry family and want our pizza. So we wait… It has been over an hour and still haven’t received the reminder of our order… good times!
