Square Plate

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch here on a Friday at this busy venue on the courthouse Square in Mason. They feature a number of German cuisine items, as well as standard fare like hamburgers and salads. I had the "German Taco "... see pic, while others had sandwiches and salads or German sausage plates. Cuisine is good and prices are reasonable. Service was adequate and friendly. They offer a variety of fresh baked goods so I tried the Bourbon Pecan pie....delicious! They offer takeout and seem to attract a good luncheon crowd.

Stopped in for lunch. Great food for very reasonable price! My wife had goat cheese pesto sandwich and German potato salad. She said both were the best she has ever had! My wife has traveled in the US and Europe. I had a Chef salad which was super fresh and most likely homemade ranch dressing as it was amazing! Highly recommend!!

We visited first because we have a new friend here in Mason, who has worked here for a while. And second because they have turkey and dressing on Fridays. We had a horrible experience at cracker barrel for Thanksgiving Thursday and decided to make up for it we would have a real meal on Friday. The only thing I didn't like was our server. She was not very attentive. My husband ordered first and then I said I'll have the same thing but add the soup of the day. She brought us 1 turkey plate and for me she brought out some type of chicken salad. When I told her I wanted the same thing again she took the plate and I could hear her talking to a manager and told him that I didn't know what I wanted and it wasn't her fault, but it was. My meal came out shortly after and we ate and enjoyed immensely. I even got a key lime pie to go and it was delicious, the flaky crust was a nice change from the normal grahm crust..
