We selected this cafe as it was the only place in town open at the moment. Didn't disappoint...taco salad was as decent as a taco salad can be, fried catfish not bad except the batter to fish ratio was slightly off (too much batter) but still fine enough. Coffee was surprisingly good, hot cocoa was soul nourishing, and the staff was great!! Warm, friendly, fast service! Perfect stop for a quick brunch without feeling rushed. We ate here as we waited to check into the Gage Hotel. They were playing Destiny's Child which threw off the quintessential West Texas country vibe but hey, it's just a down to earth, no nonsense Cafe. Check it out for a good value meal. Standard American and Mexican fare.

Stopped for lunch here yesterday. Nice little diner with delicious food. We had a crispy taco plate and a beef burrito with green chili. Both were delicious! Top it off with some delicious ice tea for a perfect lunch.

I got a lovely mountain of food, and it was delicious. The perfect southwestern diner experience. Such a nice vibe it makes me wish I had initially stayed in Marathon instead of Terilingua when hiking big bend.

Not that great. The food was very bland. Our problem was the service. They never put our order in and we ended up waiting forever once they realized their error. Then, they brought a bucked of cleaner into the dining room while we were eating. Whatever kind of cleaner it was. It was strong! They then asked us to move to their other dining room. While we were eating, we observed them watch a family approach the restaurant. They had already decided to deny service to this family before they even came through the door. Afterwards, one of the waiters was loudly talking about how they can deny service to whoever they want. It was just a very off putting experience. Definitely not worth the stop.

🙌🏼 The food, service, and cleanliness is 💯! The Chicken Fried Steak is one of the tenderest, juiciest & thicker than any I’ve had before. Meat to breading ratio is great too! Delicious spicy salsa. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Took a motorcycle trip to the Big Bend area. We stopped here for breakfast one morning, arriving at 7:30 am (Hours open @ 7:00 am). We could see a group of guys sitting at a table having coffee but the doors were locked. A temp sign stated they would be opening at 7:30 am, so we waited. Finally, at 7:45 am one of the guys came to the door to say they were closed until some help arrived. So, we walked a block to another place called V6 Coffee Shop. On our ride home a few days later we decided to try Oasis Cafe one more time. We arrived at 7:30 am and they were open. We (4 of us) all ordered different items. I ordered the El Grande Breakfast Plate. A very healthy portion of Bacon, two eggs, two “large” sausage patties, two pancakes and hash browns. The reason for only four stars is because of the hash browns. It’s not because their help didn’t show up the other day. The hash browns were like those you get at McDonald’s, only these were dry. Frozen for sure, which isn’t a deal breaker, but with everything else that came out, the hash browns were a deal breaker to get five stars. The pancakes were awesome! Slightly crispy around the edges and fluffy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices were as expected and the place was very clean. I’d stop again and do recommend Oasis Cafe for a hearty breakfast.

Stop here! Oh my gosh this place lives up to its name! Great service, super clean and cute and the food was extra delicious! We have Huevos Rancheros and Eggs & Chorizo. The chilled tap water was the best tasting water I’ve ever heard, bar none, even better than bottled!

Super cute restaurant on the main road near the Gage Hotel. Looks like both locals and tourists eat here. There are two small dining areas inside and a small patio outside. Service is quick and friendly. The food was good and similar to diner food. It's also good to know that they close at 3. Also, it looks like they do phone to-go pick up.
