Whiskey River

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. Whiskey River was awful. First of all, the cover fee was $15. FIFTEEN DOLLARS! And the place was dead. Second of all, the bartender told me they didn't accept card after making my drink. Third of all, I had to step outside for a second, and when I tried to come back in I was told I could not re-enter, even though we had already paid! There were no signs that said this, and everyone failed to mention it. The last issue was I ordered a drink and also asked for a cup of water. The bartender said they could only give me a bottle of water. It was just an awful experience!!! I will never return.

Entertainment factor very high. Personal enjoyment factor extremely low. I have never encountered such cold and stuck up people in my life as in this honkeytonk down in Macon Friggin Georgia. However, the laugh factor is huge with 80 year old men on the dance floor (alone), 20 year old men on the dance floor (alone) and more men than women in the Electric Slide dance troup. They had a live band, the cover was $10 which was probably worth it for the side show. The bartenders were all bitches, hated them all. They were running Nascar on the two black and white giant screens, there's a pool table upstairs, and a 90 year old attendant in the men's bathroom to help you with a towel if you need one. Bartenders are supposed to take care of strangers, they dont here. The "C" word comes to mind, and thats how I would describe most of the clientele. Some sort of syndrome having to do with Atlanta I suppose.
