Boubouffe

This place was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. I didnt mind that the food was mediocre at best but what stunned me was the middle eastern server who let out a heavy sigh and rolled her eyes when I asked for utensils as she gave everyone utensils but me. She’s lucky I was with family and they stopped me from saying something. Totally unserver-like. She needs to quit if handing a fork and a knife is an issue. Never going back.

Mediterranean restaurant that also serves Italian food and burgers. The Kibbeh was good. The Caprese was flavorless, and needed salt and pepper at the very least. The pizza was good but it seems like the crust is a giant pita. Anyway the pizza is big enough to feed 2 or 3 people. The burger is ok. The fries are nice and home made, hand cut from a potato.

It's very average and a little pricey for the quality. Service was good and the people watching you can do on the patio are awesome but the food lacks. It wasn't presented well and I felt like they were using cheap cuts of meat. If I come back it would be for a beer of something and maybe an appetizer but that would be about it.

Nice meal. I liked the angel hair shrimp. The pizza crust was a little too thick for me. The restaurant has outside seating with heaters but we sat inside. There are two large televisions but we're not too distracting. The first visit the reception person walked past me a couple times and then came up and asked if I needed help. Yes, I would like to eat here. Oh, sit anywhere. ?? The second visit was more smooth and professional. Just a couple good beers. Sangria is a good choice also.

I am vegan and the chef accommodated my preference which was awesome, BUT despite the excellent customer service, THE FOOD WAS OK (a little cold and very bland) and definitely not worth $27 for some pasta and broccoli...my husband ordered the chicken plate and he said it was decent. So, to sum it up, food was TOO EXPENSIVE and very BASIC and not quite tasty. Vegan food doesn't have to be tasteless...we eat garlic and onion...those veggies could be cooked with garlic and onion and some oil, not just steamed. I understand that maybe the chefs were not familiar and they probably wanted to make the healthiest version... Anyways, I appreciated the gesture so I am thankful that they made something for me, even though it was too expensive and not that great. If it was $10 maybe I would come back but because it was so expensive I will not.

I love this place! We first found this restaurant in 2018 when we came out to LB for our anniversary. The happy hour on the weekends are great. They have the best sangrias, white red or blend. Ask for the blend! They are light and fresh and delicious. We have had many of the apps and our favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza believe it or not. But everything we have had is amazing. Best kept secret in Belmont Shore. And they have parking!

Terrible service and mediocre meal. Not our first time there, but it had been awhile. Understand Covid leaves folks short staffed, and need to be patient but having one of 3 meals come 10 minutes after everyone else was FINISHED…it was the ATTITUDE that was even worse. Barely an apology. Never go back here again. Food was not where it used to be.
