Greggs

Who doesn’t love Greggs? Their vege bakes, vegan sausage roll, cheese and onion bakes, sandwiches, pasta salads and mouthwatering fresh cream buns and cookies, are just delicious! The medium sized shop in ilford centre used to be very busy but not that much over the last few years. There are empty shelves even during mid morning which needs to be stocked regularly. I would have given 5 stars but I didn’t because of their customer services assistants being quite a grumpy bunch. The new ones are sweet and friendly but the ones that have been there for a while don’t seem to want to be there. If your are in any kind of customer facing role the least you can do is smile. Customers notice little things so try not to lose them to your competitors.

Greggs is and will always be the best place for hot sausage rolls and their hot chocolate in my opinion. Went there a few ago and brought 16 hot sausage rolls and they was very shocked but really helpful and apologise because I had to wait 10 minutes for them to cook .Staff are always cheerful and happy to help with their hot baguettes. Highly recommend .

Maggie is always a pleasure to be served by, amazing customer service skills. Someone I would hire and I have even offered her a job. She is the main person in there keeping the place lively and energetic and always has a smile on her face. Some of her colleagues including the management need to learn a thing or 2 from her especially when dealing with customers. Raymond is also a great guy who always has a smile on his face and nothing is too much for him, always willing to help. These 2 are probably the best staff in there and I’m always going in hoping to be served by one of them.
