Ihop

I like to have an early breakfast here. They doing great pancakes and omelets. Everything looks clean, waiters nice, portions very large enough to feed two persons. You definitely will need a box to-go. Plenty of parking spots available all day long. Located very convenient in the city center, very easy to access by car.

They had outside seating as inside seating is currently banned bc of COVID-19. I had a very nice waitress - unfortunately I can't remember her name now. I had pancakes, hash browns and coffee. As usual it was all very good. I have mixed feelings about their outdoor seating setup. Yes, technically it's outdoors - but they have what amounts to a huge tent set up. That kinda defeats the purpose since the idea behind closing indoor seating is to keep people from being in a room with possibly infectious people potentially exhaling virus particles into an enclosed space where others essentially have to share the same air. Well ... Being enclosed in a mostly closed tent (yes there is a permanently open entrance to the tent, but it's a big tent) in the parking lot with no forced air circulation is just as bad (if not worse since there's no air air exchange like inside a bldg with central forced air a/c and heat). The tables were 6ft apart but that didn't matter since the table next to me had a pack of wild, unmasked children running around coughing without covering their mouths while overturning chairs at both their table AND mine. They were seldom more than one or two feet from me. The kids obviously weren't IHOPS fault - but having to share the inside of an enclosed tent with the little germ-depots was IHOPS doing. I'd have preferred to be in the parking lot at an open-air table.
