Tops

Normally I'd give the 5 stars but today I ended up in a checkout line with an older woman who chose not to let the scanner and machine do there jobs, she scanned each item but had a keypad on the screen and double entered all the info or something, on top of it she was bypassing the sale prices. So my grapes at $1.99 per pound were ringing up at $3.99, I said something for her to fix it and she got mad at me and took attitude but changed it to the correct price. Every item was like that. I prefer self checkout and will not go into one of their staff checkouts again.

I tend to choose this tops compared to some of the other tops and other markets around. While the have a decent selection, they are short on specialty foods (Asian, Indian, Hispanic) available at most markets closer to UB. What makes this specific location the best is they always have ample registrars open with short lines. I truly hate shopping at stores that like to force you to self checkout, or that have 30 minute lines for the few other registers open.

Over priced products ( Can get cheaper somewhere else. Example: 1 liter bottle of soda at Tops almost $3 plus tax. For the same 1 liter bottle of soda at Walmart $1 plus tax.) For 2 - 3 tot bags full ( bread, peanut butter, lunch meat, milk, cereal, the basics, even if it was on sale) cost me last time I was at Tops was over $125 and that's the cheap stuff. For the same number of tot bags at Walmart cost me around $85 - $90.
