Savina

We had a great meal here on my daughter's 18th birthday. We didn't tell the staff that it was a special occasion as my daughter hates a fuss but we still received warm and friendly, attentive service. The surroundings are clean, bright and decorated in a lively Mexican fashion, but most importantly the food was excellent with delicious standard fayre intermixed with some appetising, slightly more unexpected dishes. We'd been big fans of Savina over its years in Duke Street and were delighted to find that if anything it's improved in its new location. Also (really important) they've retained the giant authentic sombreros that you can find throughout the meal if you wish! Fantastic all round, many thanks for a great feast!

The best Mexican I have ever had!!!! Looked at the menu the first day staying here and as it looked so good saved it for the last night. Gutted as I would have happily eaten every meal here. Fresh ingredients and full of flavour - everything we ordered was a delight both in presentation and taste. Service is the best I have encountered in a long time. On it without being in your face. Value for money 10/10 service 10/10 independant doing what it says 10/10. It’s going to be my recommendation to all my 30,00 contacts on Facebook via various groups and pages as the go to place when visiting Liverpool. What’s even more refreshing is it holds its own surrounded by chains. Bring in on Savina and keep holding your own.

Lovely, tasty food. We bought off the deals menu rather than à la carte and there was a varied choice of both meat and vegetarian options. Everything, bar a few dishes, was quite spicy but nothing some extra sour cream wouldn't sort! When we went in it was early lunch time and not very busy. I assume more staff would be coming in for later in the day as we had one waiter doing everything for every table in, no one else at the bar or hosting. However, service was good.

The food was magnificent and there's a wide range of options on the menu of varying degrees of spiciness that the staff will be able to advise if it's not clear on the menu. It was a bit quiet when we went in in a Sunday afternoon and hence there wasn't many staff there either. This did mean that the staff who were in ended up with a little bit too much to do but over all they did a good job and we left very happy. I'd happily recommend Savina and I'll be back soon I'm sure.
