Came here on an out of town visit. By far some of the nastiest food I’ve ever had.
Everything was salty or dry. Everyone else who lives here loves it. I wouldn’t feed it to a dog on the street. Never going back to this place.

Food is five stars, best Mexican in Lexington. The only warning I have is sometimes on take-out not all of the food makes it into the bag. This should probably lower it a star but the food is that good.

El Jimador is bigger inside than it appears. Very clean. Servers attentive. My mother enjoyed the Taco Salad that she ordered the shell was light and crunchy. I ordered the Terra y Mar which had plenty of flavor, however; the meat and seafood were slightly over cooked. Menu has lots to choose from including Vegetarian, Burgers and healthier options.

09/16/20: Older Female Waitress was absolutely rude and had young workers cleaning up messes at tables she waited for. My food was barely lukewarm, not hot at all when it was brought to the table. I do not recommend the Lexington El Jimador, if you want a true, professional, and upscale experience please dine in at the El Jimador in Sandhills where your money, time, and presence is valued and respected. Also, they have the best drinks!

Poor service I ordered a margarita waiter told me it required a “lot of work to make it “ and told me he didn’t have time to make it. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Personally being a waitress I would never decline someone’s order bc they are to lazy to make it
