Starbucks

I would say honestly that the staff is nice and the atmosphere is about what I would expect but..... Has anyone ever tried a plain cup of black coffee from Starbucks, not just this one, but any Starbucks? It's literally hot garbage. If you told me that the beans were burnt to a crisp during the roasting process then made into coffee, sat in a pot for a week then microwaved hot before served, I would believe you. I think this is the only way to get a "coffee taste" through all the sugar and syrup that they super saturate their main drinks. That's just my opinion. Again, kudos to the staff for good service.

Went to the Starbucks on Main and Broadway tonight while on a dog walk with my fiance and daughter...the Barista guy with the long hair literally made our night, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made our drink a little less sweet as we liked. Plus I had to leave my dogs outside with my daughter and fiance as he made our coffee and kid hot chocolate and as we were leaving no one was inside because it was close to closing time and he ran out the front door to send his love to our dogs! A+ it's the little things! There were a couple people walking in at that moment and he quickly acknowledged them and politely excused himself to go inside and get back to it! Wish I had caught his name because he's a keeper!

Updated 10/22/17: Okay. They are back open and have been for some time. This Starbucks is at a great location in Downtown Lexington and I frequent this place (again) at least once a week. The customer service at this location has been top grade and the coffee quality is that which you would expect from a Starbucks. If for any reason you do not like your expensive ass drink, they will happily make you something else to ensure that you walk out satisfied. As soon as you do walk out however, watch out for the idiots illegally turning right off of Main St. on to N. Broadway. Former review from 2016 (2 stars): This once great coffee shop is currently in litigation over who is going to repair the inside of the original store. It's been nearly a year and no progress. Their hard to reach, off the beaten path temporary location is killing their business and my patience. I live and work close to this Starbucks and they are apparently willing to let the store die. They keep cutting the store hours and the quality and service have dropped significantly. I hope that someone cares enough to revive this Starbucks.
