Tapatio

Came in to place my order and to my surprise, I got charged a fee of 4% for using my card, I noticed it after they charged me without telling me, cashier then pointed to a torn up and worn out paper and explained that there is a charge. After receiving my order to go, I noticed that I was given a kids meal, but instead was told that it was what I had ordered.. Food was so below average, that I technically wasted almost 30 dollars on 3 kid meals. I will never come back here again, no wonder the place was so empty and the staff looked sad. Brisket tacos were reheated, the salsa is ok as it is Pace picante sauce. The ovacado sauce was also packaged.

I guess that the only explanation for this place getting four stars is Laredo's low expectations. Everything we tried was just "ok". For 45 dollars you would expect a lot better. Now I like the more exotic Mexican food but I can't get into the carnitas here. They are just lacking in flavor. They also didn't bring us napkins and the salsas were without flavor. It's not horrible but I would not eat here again. I gave it two chances.

Best carnitas north of the border. Went there for dinner last night and I was really impressed. Very friendly staff and awesome food. Tortillas are hand made to order and delicious. I ordered the tacos (chicharrón, buche and trompa) and all three were unique and delicious. This is now my go-to place when I visit Laredo.
