Delicatesse

Extremely satisfied with my visit. I was in Laredo for a doctor’s visit and my sister suggested we go there. The inside of the shop was so chic and I loved it. The staff was attentive and friendly and the modified panini I ordered was delicious. I especially loved their soup of the day that day which was a cream of carrot soup. 10/10

Strawberry Crepes - nice Turkey wrap - good "Special" lasagna - totally a no go for $15 and the size of the dish youd expect for them to use a better quality of cheese which is what brings that dish together Also whats with the hidden prices? More expensive places dont have the need to exclude the prices from the menus

Food was 5 star! Service...not so much. No one greets you at the door so you're not sure whether to wait to be seated or if to sit anywhere you like? I watched several other patrons experience the same confusion. I stood there awkwardly until my waitress finally acknowledged me and acted as if she had no idea why I was there. Also annoying is my waitress spoke absolutely no english. When I explained that I only speak "poquito espanol" she seemed annoyed. The atmosphere is great! The jazz playing was great! The place is super clean! The tea I had was amazing! The panini was great, although it coulda had a little more meat on it for $8. The soup was off the hook! I dont know what it was due to the language barrier but it was spectacular! However, once my food was brought out, it was like I didnt exist. She never asked me how my food was, if I needed anything else, nothing. Not knowing if she was gonna bring me the check or if I was supposed to pay at the register...I again awkwardly loitered around the entrance until my waitress came to the register. Then she couldn't remember what I had to ring it up. This place could EASILY be 5 stars & probably one of the best lunch spots in town if they'd step up the service a few notches.
