If you’re looking for an authentic Chicago style hot dog, this is the best place you could possibly go. Their food is always amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. Once you’ve had The Left Bank, you’ll never be able to enjoy any other hot dogs the same way again… but it’s worth it.

Was in town visiting and tried my first Chicago dog here! Loved my dog and loved the shop - great people running the store and chill laid back vibes with great music. Kind of has a retro surf punk vibe in my opinion 🌭 will definitely come back again if I’m ever back in Lake Forest!

Surprised to find this classic hole-in-the-wall hot dog place in upscale Lake Forrest! Needed a quick bite in the afternoon and grabbed a Chicago dog and Tortilla Soup. The soup was off the rails good! (And my wife and I know good tortilla soup having grown up in San Diego). Turns out the owner’s Momma is a soup queen and makes Soups from scratch daily. Wow what a surprise. Friendly staff too. Can’t go wrong here.

Incredible dogs! Forrest and his family took control a couple years ago and have brought this back to its original glory. If you’re looking for the best dogs in Chicago, look no further! Left bank is the best

Left Bank good memories 😃 Hotdog with cheese and onions. It was good, I just don't know if I like paying five bucks for 1 hotdog 😁 I am pretty sure she said that it was sold twice and they are the new owners.

This is one of thoes restaurants that does a few things really well and they just stick to that. The different type of hot dog is a nice change from the norm and the sloppy joe is as good as it gets. You will be stopping in here whenever you're in the area for the rest of your life. Enjoy!
**Edit** 5/28/21 ownership has changed several times since my review. Not bad, but it's different
