This place serves some of the best sushi on the island. Sushi is fresh and on average price wise with the rest of the higher end places. Rice is cooked perfect. Beer is on the expensive side. Service is pretty good.
Parking is a rip off. You have to pay to park, unless you are already staying at the hotel. But you might even have to pay them. If you are spending $75 a person for dinner, parking should be included.

The restaurant was overlooking the ocean with amazing views. Bobby was our waiter and did a great job of recommending meal ideas for us. The food was so delicious!!!

Excellent dining experience. Service was amazing, and food was genuinely good. Karaage chicken was really great, and the different roles we got were all equally unique and amazing. Highly recommend this spot if you're staying at the Hyatt!

If possible make a reservation beforehand, but waiting wasn't too long without one.

Made reservations for our honeymoon and we had an awesome experience! Food was awesome and the vibes were beautiful with the sunset. The value isn't quite there but I know its an on-site restaurant to an awesome hotel with a beach view so I can't be too critical.

This is hands down one of the best sushi experiences in the world. The sushi is VERY good! The staff is friendly, the location cannot be beat.
Located in the Hyatt Regency in Maui - the sunset views and open dining experience is world-class.
Recommend getting reservations. The drinks are fantastic!!

The place is beautiful so score that right off. The service is five star. The food is good but not the best Sushi I have had. For the price you expect the best. I still recommend it but not five star worthy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience at Japengo. We had reservations and were seated promptly on time. Our server was cheerful and attentive. Cocktails, appetizers, and entrees were delivered timely and the evening was very enjoyable. All of the food was delicious.

One of my favorite restaurant’s that I visited @ the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in Maui…went with my sister & niece. We all tried something different & tried everyone’s dish. All I can say is “OMG”… can’t tell you wish was the best. Each dish had It’s own exquisite taste. Also had the shiitake mushrooms as a side & they were amazingly delicious. Made reservations ahead of time & got an awesome table that overlooked the ocean & sunset. This restaurant is a must…Tab was worth every penny ❤️

Such a wonderful place for Sushi rolls, seafood and fabulous ocean views. Be sure to get reservations as they get booked fast, although check online as they also get cancellations and spots open up. The food is amazing, the views are to die for.
