Del Taco

I'm not super familiar with Del Taco but my wife is and was. She got me to pull in there to get a little late night snack. Pleasantly surprised at how fresh everything was. Portion sizes. Price. Overall tonality and attitude of present employee. I can be a real cynical jerk when it comes to food but fast food taco place? And I couldn't find anything wrong with anything? I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone... I only spent like five bucks.... every other place that sells food has no excuse anymore.

Not only did I receive the wrong items I also got a surprise in my breakfast. Nothing better than finding a long black hair in your food. Then be told they don't believe you even though my hair is brown. No manager on duty and said we could call corporate. Not coming back to this ever again and I'll be sure to warn everyone.

Y'all need to change out your fryer oil more often. My wife ordered the nachos and she said all the chips tasted like walnut shells with an aftertaste of bitterness. I thought she was exaggerating until I tried them myself. I say this not as a customer but as a fellow food service person who has experience with similar equipment. This is a three star review because the food that wasn't made in the fryer was bangin. To the customers that see this: These people make very good food. Someone forgot to change the fryer oil and that made the chips on our nachos taste bad. Please don't let it deter you from buying their excellent food! Solution: Change fryer oil more frequently. P.S. Y'all need to make your shrimp burritos available year round!
