The Baked Bear

Awesome little ice cream sandwich shop. They've got a great selection of cookies, ice cream, and toppings, so you've got free reign to make it however you want. The orders are pretty hefty as well, so if the sandwich starts to break apart, they've got spoons to finish up the rest of your sandwich without getting too messy. And if you don't want your ice cream in a sandwich form, you can get a brownie bowl and just eat it from a spoon with a nice pie crust-esque brownie lining the bowl. Overall, great place if you're looking to switch up the ice cream experience.

I'm a fan. Just had a dang fine ice cream sandwich. The cookie of the month was chocolate chip with pretzel chunks and pecans, which I paired with salted caramel fudge ice cream. No regrets, whatsoever!!! On Tuesdays they run a deal for any sandwich $3.75. I think the young lady working said they're usually over $5 each, so it was a great night to happen upon this place for the first time.

My six year old and I came here for a date night a few months back and had a good time here. Sort of like Diddy Riese in Westwood but far pricier, the Baked Bear has a good selection of baked goods you can stuff ice cream in between to make a decent dessert sandwich. We moved forward with their brownie sandwich that we selected vanilla ice cream coated in tiny m&m's. The brownie was heated and then they drizzled fudge all over the top. Unless you bake a really bad brownie it's impossible to mess this up and fortunately for the Baked Bear, they have a great brownie to go with the ice cream. Both of us enjoyed the brownie and one dessert was enough for the two of us. They have a few seats inside, but really, who wants to do that on the amazing summer evenings we have here in Southern California? We sat in the courtyard area and found a table easily. It was a great experience. The staff was helpful in explaining everything for our first visit which also won't be our last. I plan to come back and try other combinations. Ample parking in the evenings after the dinner rush of Blaze Pizza and Habit eaters. Not sure how the parking is now that Target opened. Might be the only downfall for a dessert here.
