Stack 'em High Pancakes Kitty Hawk

We were surprised that the restaurant was cafeteria style. You order your drinks and food and pay for them in an assembly line, then they bring the food when ready. They ask for tip at register before you know their service or how the food is. Thankfully the food was delicious! Pancakes nice and fluffy, bacon cooked perfectly and sausage links. Entire group of us really liked the food. We were so full. We'd definitely go back again.

I got the short stack breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese. Everything was tasty but I wish instead of waiting in line to order that you could be seated first. It is a smaller restaurant though and they are always busy so I get why they have it organized that way. The owner is very friendly and all of the staff were as well.

This place was hopping on a Saturday morning, we really enjoyed the pancake breakfast here. It was hard to get a table around 10.00AM since it was so busy but we were eventually able to be seated. The pancakes were excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly. This wasn't a fancy place by any means but we really enjoyed the visit and would return.

Got to get them once in the way in or out of OBX. If you're close during the week to fight the rush, but they do an awesome job getting people through the restaurant. Everyone was pleasant at this obviously family owned restaurant. There is just an added taste to these pancakes and waffles. This year I had a biscuit that made me want to have biscuit and sausage gravy next time. They had cheesy biscuits that were unfortunately sold out, but probably for good reason.

An unconventional restaurant! You order your food before you are seated. The line was out the door when we arrived around 9:15 am. We were back on the road before 11 am. The food was good!! I loved reading all of the sayings they had painted around the windows and on the rafters. I had chocolate banana pancakes. They were light and fluffy. I expected more banana and chocolate chips on top, though. It only came with 1 slice of banana and a tiny chocolate chip. The batter held all the flavor. Friendly wait staff!!

My wife and I had breakfast for about $26.00. Make sure you grab a tray and silverware first if you've never been there. Then, order your food at the register, then sit at any table to wait for your food. They will bring you your drinks if you order hot drinks. We had the coffee. They do not have flavored creamer. I had 3 pancakes and sausage links. She had bacon and French toast. The food was really good, but I wish I had gotten a little more. The rest rooms were clean. The place had plenty of tables. Very good waitresses. The walls are decorative. Plenty of parking.
