Legacy Bakery

An absolute gem in the area if you're into southeast European flaky pastries and phyllo dough based goodies. A wide variety of pita (cheese, meat, potato, ...), pigs in a blanket, croissants, bread, kifla, slanci. Also, their sweets selection is amazing. Unfortunately, as COVID-19 hit, the place had to slow down until it closed on March 15, 2020 and decided to not reopen. Many of us will miss this amazing little shop, but some of us will miss it more, for it was one of few remaining places where we could get a smell and taste of home.

Simply delicious and a great value. First time visit which will turn into many more. I had an opportunity to try few pastries, a meat pie and a cheese pie. By far cheese pie is an absolute delight. If you are in the area and want to try something new, you won't be disappointed. Lots of parking, excellent location.

If you’ve tasted European baked goods, you probably know how difficult it is to find something that tastes as good in Canada. Surprise - Legacy Bakery managed to achieve something superior. What we love best is their kifla; you’ll find it challenging to have just one. Everything is fresh and delicious!

A European bakery! I just discovered this little bakery. What a great find in the "food desert" of suburbia! I can report that the croissants are nice and flaky. To be honest, I have had better croissants in Montreal and in Europe, but these are also very good. Besides a range of Eastern-European pastries, they have wonderful crusty loaves of white bread. You will not find rediculous hipster bread ("gluten-free quinoa kiwi loaf") at the Legacy Bakery. Just honest real bread with no preservatives that tastes like bread should taste.
