Vovina

Nice spot with limited seating next to Marina Park to catch the sunset if you sit outside on spring and summer evenings. The music volume was too high for me, but it's definitely more of a higher end bar vibe than a nice sit-down restaurant so that's to be expected. Vovina staff were friendly and helpful and the food was decent (not especially flavorful or creative), and fresh with good options for sharing. The cool wooden tables are a bit small so it may hamper how much you can order.

Tiny intimate gem in Kirkland. Food is amazing and presentation is on point. The service is definitely worth waiting for as there is only one bartender, but Jared is a master of the drinks and serves the whole bar with ease and a happy disposition. Would highly recommend but don’t want to give away my little secret place, lol. Seriously…..go! You will be so happy you did.

Rebecca was extremely disrespectful. When we mentioned that we wanted to order the Vovina Tacos, she rudely responded that she’s worked there for a long time and that she would know if they had tacos on the menu. Although we were looking at an old menu, Rebecca was extremely short-tempered and responded once again by saying “just look at the menu”. Before we could even show her the Vovina Tacos on the menu, she turned around and walked away. When the replacement waitress came, she completely dismissed the situation. Don’t recommend this place. EDIT to owner: Yes, I am sure that this is the right restaurant. As you can see from the attached picture, you once served Vovina Tacos. We pulled up the menu through google; regardless, our waitress was rude. The brown-haired waiter with glasses must’ve given me an incorrect name then. “Rebecca” had short blonde hair. The replacement waitress who dismissed the issue had dyed red hair.

Amazing place. Had 2 drinks, Charcuterie & Cheese board, and Chocolate Mousse Toffee Cake for dessert. While my hubby went to get his phone I let the bartender know it was our anniversary. When the dessert came out she had a candle on it for us. We will 100% be back and highly recommend to all to try.

Where to start. I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night with a group of friends. I sat for 10 minutes and had to ask for a server which took another 10 more minutes arrive. When we got our food order, our friends order was wrong. It was a long wait to get the order so we did not bother to reorder. They left the food but forgot to give us utensils which it took them awhile to get. We were never checked back to see if everything was okay since they left the food. When we finished our meal we had to call for a server to get our bill. When we sat it was definitely busy but they under staff. I work in hospitality and I gave them the benefit of the doubt but in the future my advice is that they should not sit more guests then they can give good service to. My rating is poor for service and value of food is overprice for the amount.

Love the decor but the staff is not ready to be a full capacity. They don't seem to be happy to have the business. Only told us when we asked for the check that they don't split it then wanted to add an automatic gratuity for mediocre service. Server took more time arguing about not splitting the check among 5 people than it would have taken to split the check, even after we broke the bill down for them, twice! Was going to bring a larger group in for happy hour but think I'll take them elsewhere for now.
