The Boat Inn

Shared a meal with the family, 2 kids and my sister's dog. Amazing staff, lovely atmosphere. I couldn't fault the food at all. Even asked about the ice creams (where it was from) and the staff members asked for me. Food 10/10, staff 11/10, atmosphere 10/10. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend to families, functions, hikers and everyone!

We called in here for lunch, we ordered light bites from the main menu and 2 children’s meals. Food arrived pretty quickly and looked very tasty. The light bites were nice but I was very disappointed to find they had added salt to the children’s meals. Our grandson couldn’t eat his chips as they were very salty and our 3 year old never has salt on her food she doesn’t need it. I do think this should be personal preference if you need salt or not. I did mention this to the waitress as she collected our plates and she said she would feedback to the kitchen.

Came in here twice while staying at calvert keilder. 1st day had lunch, I had the fish and chips my partner had the steak. 2nd day we came for dinner and we both had the pork loin. I don't usually order pork but glad I did. We didn't have room for dessert but the options looked good, they also have quite a fee flavours of ice cream available. There is a shop onsire which is open 24/7.

Visited whilst on holiday for our wedding anniversary (we went for afternoon drinks everyday as dog friendly). The steak was fantastic, the service, quality and value for money was great. When booking we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary, totally overwhelmed with complimentary Prosecco and anniversary sweet board! 💕 fantastic touches made it really special. Highly recommended.

Super helpful staff and lovely food. The whole site is dog friendly and all the staff were really nice, the dog had water (although I suspect he would have preferred a burger!) we sat outside but there are several different rooms including one with a small indoor play area. The giant bouncy pillow outside was popular with the younger members of the group! Food was very nice, the staff were happy to adapt my meal to take into account t my weird dietary needs without the slightest hint of trouble. The menu has something for everyone with lots of choice. A very nice little spot we will be back next time we are up.

Set in the Birds of Prey area at Keilder Water. Amazing views and good eating place with excellent toilets. Staff friendly and helpful, very good food. I had a prawn sandwich with nice salad and slaw. My husband took the chicken strips with dip and salad which he said was very filling and delicious. Beautiful forested area great for a run out.
