La Gloria

Two very different experiences on separate occasions. First time I was there for a birthday during brunch hours. Food was ok, they forgot two orders out of our party of 8, but it was made quickly and there were no other issues besides the drinks. Pretty weak imo, I think I had my 4th sangria and didn’t really feel much of a buzz. Second time was there for a family event. Much larger group and the service was slow, but from what I heard none of the orders were messed up. But this time the drinks were much stronger. I don’t know if it was because it wasn’t brunch anymore, but the sangria brought a much larger punch than the previous time. Overall the service could’ve been better. I wouldn’t mind going there for drinks, but not the food.

Sweet chili sauce calamari? BANGIN'! Tostones topped with baby shrimp? DELICIOUS! That's all I had and it was enough to lure me back. Unfortunately, there isnt a huge variety for me as I do not eat red meat or pork, which seems to be the majority of dishes served here. It is Cuban, after all. No complaints. The server was very attentive and the price tag was fair.

My friend and I came here during the summer and sat outside in their backyard and got eaten alive by mosquito's. We endured a few bites to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and nice weather. I had a living social deal and I ordered the pork chops and my friend ordered the salmon. The food was good but the portions were mad small for a Spanish spot. They had these cute adorable Cuban cigar boxes for the bread. I wanted a frozen mango drink but they didn't have all the ingredients so I opted for water. 10 minutes later here comes my gorgeous looking mango daiquiri. It wasn't the best daiquiri I've had but I was truly thankful for the bartender going out of his way to make my drink. The staff were super friendly and I would definitely check out this spot again.
