7 Leaves Cafe

Quick stops to 7Leaves are the best and I'm so glad I found this one in Irvine. I didn't expect it to be a bit hidden in a corner, but of course the quality of their drinks were consistent with other locations. Happy to find a local one now that I can stop to when I'm in the area. Service was super fast and attentive!

7 Leaves is a great spot for milk tea and boba drinks. They are open till 11pm which is great. My daughter and I go here at least twice a week and it has become our little ritual. The staff is always friendly and if for some reason you're order is wrong they are quick to fix it and will go the extra mile by offering you the incorrect order along with your correct order. The rewards could be a little better but that's not a reason to stop you from trying them. Overall my fav spot outside of Westminster.

I wanted a hot milk tea to warm up during the cool, wet winter. The friendly cashier recommended the hot jasmine, but I thought I’d try the taro. Unfamiliar with taro milk tea, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Despite her thinking it wasn’t sweet enough, I felt the tea was very sweet, but I am accustomed to unsweetened tea. The cashier then suggested “easy sweet”, which would mean more half and half, so I ordered a 12 oz hot. It was still sweet, and satisfying. Surprisingly, the taro wasn’t as earthy as I expected, and had more of a coconut and vanilla aroma. Still, I would have preferred a less sweet option, and was slightly disappointed they didn’t have unsweet or barely sweet, given the online claims of daily brewing and blending. I guess they make a single “base” for flavored brews, and dilute as requested. I recommend the hot taro “easy sweet” to anyone who doesn’t mind sweetened milk tea, since you don’t lose much taro flavor with the dilution.
