Lonny Boy's Barbecue

Delicious BBQ about 30 minutes outside of Zion National Park. Pretty good customer service. It's an order at the counter and seat yourself type of place. Wide variety of sides and entree's. The price of sides for what you get is a bit high. Family owned restaurant which is nice. Free ice cream + cones available. Good environment and plenty of seating.

Not bad, not incredible. Meats were all okay but the sauces and fun combinations were definitely what made the food good. The Sonny Boy was a great combination. Everyone who got ribs said they were just okay and their specialty sides were nothing to write home about. At the end of the day, it's still BBQ and it's not bad by any means. It's just "fine".

We came in for dinner before they got super busy. Ordered and paid, couldn't hear the woman at the register, had to ask what several times and at the same time she was too busy chatting with a coworker standing there doing nothing with her. We get our number and turn around to find a table, every open table that wasn't a group party table was dirty. Our party of two had to sit ourselves at the corners of one of the huge tables. We go to fill our drinks, their ice is only spitting out one or two little balls of ice. We get our food. I ordered the one plate smoked beef brisket, partner order the Thunderbird sandwich. The only thing that even looked good was the bread for the sandwich. Our Mac and cheese was literally Kraft. The meat tasted like the meat you get from frozen dinners. Not deserving of a 4 star BBQ restaurant. 40 bucks for a Kraft dinner.
