Great food. The service was really great. They burned the katsu and decided to recook it rather than give us a burnt one. The price was very good as well. Chow menu plate, orange chicken plate and a big side of kayak was $34. Seems like a mom and pop shop and the ambiance was just that if one. And why oh why would the food gods lead us to this wonderful place a few days before a useless big box store is about to be put up? It is beyond sadness.

The ox tail soup from Diem Cafe and the stuffed egg plant was absolutely marvelous after a long hike up The Diamond Head….
