Ihop

I enjoyed my visit to IHOP and was very impressed with the food and service that we received. The night that we visited the restaurant there were only 4 servers and I cook. Still the employees were very aware of their customers. Our server made us feel comfortable, she came frequently to check on us and she gave us updates on our food. Which I appreciate. I also was impressed by the time that it actually took to receive our food. We had a great visit that night because the employees were aware of the people in the restaurant and they were kind and cared.

We stopped in while traveling. I ordered the Pancake breakfast plate, pancakes with strawberries & bananas, eggs over easy, sausage and hash browns. It was very delicious. They were extremely understaffed, and our waitress appeared overworked, and tired. 07/10/21 Stopped in while we were in Hickory, this time I have to say the service was much better, our server was very polite, and attentive compared to last time. The food was great, and cooked to my satisfaction.

I’m not sure what was going on today. I’d love to visit again when they are fully staffed. I simply wish they had been more transparent with their customers. There was probably 15 wait staff and 2 cooks. We waited forty minutes to be seated and were the “first” in line to be seated for about 30 minutes of our wait. When my husband went up they still told him another 45 minutes so we went ahead and left. Hopefully they get it together soon!

I never write reviews, but I had to this time because my waitress Kendra was SO AMAZING. I dined in by myself and she was so friendly and sweet and completely made my evening. Her service was fantastic and was really quick getting my order and checked in on me often. Next time I come in I will most definitely be requesting Kendra!!

Hostess had no idea how to seat people. She repeatedly said we were next and seated three groups of people before us and we were “next”. The service was okay, we had an appointment to get to and told the waitress so she did her best to get the food out. It was fathers day and they were busy but there was little to no organization when it came to seating people. Also the restaurant wasn’t clean and is falling apart
