So disappointed. It's been along time since I've been to ruby reds. I had heard they closed but also heard that they were reopening I very seldom get to the West Bank but it just so happens that I was in the area today and thought about the old ruby reds. Walked in feeling great about getting an ice cold beer and a delicious juicy burger maybe with some peanuts but things had most certainly changed. I am no snob and love hole in the wall joints more than anything else but this place just looks like it should've closed again a while back. There was a child behind the grill I was informed that there was no cold beer or any beer for that matter because they lost their liquor license due to failure to pay taxes. All of this information I acquired after hearing the employees arguing over what sounded like a bad check that one of them was issued. I long for the old ruby reds but I won't be back to this place.

I was really sad when Ruby Red's closed because they had the best bar type burgers on the Westbank.  When they re-opened I was so happy, but that quickly changed.  First time back was just like old times, but the next few visits I found the portions getting smaller.  Quite frankly I did not think the meal was worth the price they charged.

The worst on all levels. I use to love this restaurant before they closed and moved away. We as a group would eat there often . So we discovered that they were back and went in to give it a try. The service was poor, had to wait 20 minutes for a beverage. The food was not prepared as we requested. Way over cooked, very dry burger. One of the burgers was dropped on the floor and had to wait for another one to be prepared. The steak fries were over cooked as well. I ordered diet coke and got a root Beer. The shrimp sandwich was way overcooked. The waitress took it upon herself to decide that since I ordered 2 sandwiches that I only need one order of fries. Maybe this was all because they had one boy cooking and three girls playing the juke box ,dancing and singing instead of doing there job. I hope your experience will be better. I know I will never go back again. I'll drive all the way to west end and get my burger.

Not what it once was.. Although this was my favorite burger spot for years it has fallen into the bottom layer recently. the burgers are still above average and tasty but the place has become very unclean and dingy. the prices have gone up way beyond any sort of value. will not spend hard earned money for the inferior quality they now serve. sorry but the slide has disappointed me for the last time.

I've went to Ruby Reds alot for many years. Business lunches by day and family eat out in evenings. The elder man and wife are such friendly people make u feel welcome and with a smile. Today was a horriblle experiance just a younger crowd no welcome the oldest person there was a snob from the very moment we got there there were only 3 tables with people and they already had their food. Terrible service waited 45 minutes for food I can understand if they were busy but they were not. My burger was cook so long it was very dry my husband got fried shrimp plate he kept telling my they still had the shell on the shrimp I tryed one they were cooked so hard it was like eating the shell. After a life time of going and enjoying them I will never go back. What happened to there service and quality of food. I would now not recommend this place to anyone not worth it.

A cozy little niche. My fiancee and I always say whole in the wall places are the best places and Ruby Red's definitely stands up to our not so high standards : )<br/>A childhood favorite of mine and now rolling over into and adulthood favorite of mine, it's nothing fancy, so don't expect too much, but it is great for a little quick, cheap eat. Good food friendly service, what more do you need!
