Pad T'aye

I have wanted to try this place since the popup in Chapel hall, it absolutely blew my socks off! 10/10, the Chef and Waitress made us feel very welcome and the place has got a really cool vibe to it! My fav was the Massimo curry, the sauce was lovely! The Green tai sauce was delicious and all our starters were perfect, especially the beef! We had a table full of food and a drink each and we only just broke over £50, very reasonable for what we had. This was an experience and will be sure to go back!

Such a tiny restaurant but this is what made it so much better, the experience felt really intimate and the staff were so lovely. This might be our favourite restaurant in Hamilton now! We had the panang (I had prawn, hubby had chicken) and it was gorgeous. We also got to try the cracker with some laab sauce which was stunning. This is cash only which is understandable due to the size of the restaurant. We'll absolutely be back soon for the tasting menu. Highly recommend to everyone!

I dont even know where to start with our experience tonight, the food was to die for, Liam and his team were so welcoming, made a dish not on the menu for our fussy daughter and all in all made it a lovely night with the most amazing food. We had, Crying tiger beef bites Bbq street chicken bites Chicken panang with fried rice option Duck fat curly fries Prawn tempura Green thai mussels Shrimp prawn crackers (specially handmade chicken nuggets for fussy child 🙈😂) We also paid £5 corkage which is a great idea. I'm a fussy eater and wasn't sure what I could and would eat but everything i had was absolutely amazing and left me wanting more and more and can't wait to go back, whilst there we booked our next night for the taster menu 🥰🥰🥰 the crying tiger bites were the best thing ever and definitely my favourite but im kicking myself that I didn't get it as a main 😂 Absolutely brilliant wee spot and highly highly recommended. We were invited to try and to provide an unbiased review on Pad T’Aye in Hamilton. Our full video review can be found on Instagram and TikTok under TheOliveTreeFamily For starters, we got the corn fritters and the Thai fish cakes. Freshly made, definitely nothing from the freezer here. They came with these dipping sauces. This was the sweet plum sauce. But this sauce here, they called it the Laab sauce, it was so good. It is made with chilli, mint and coriander. This is a the sizzling Crying Tiger Beef dish. My eyes lit up when it came out. It’s a 28 day aged ribeye steak with a Thai twist. I got it with duck fat chips. My son got the king prawn fried rice. It comes with these massive butterfly cut tiger prawns. The rice has a lovely flavour too. Definitely different to Chinese style fried rice. We just had to try their Pad Thai given as it’s their signature dish. It did not disappoint. They have a Tasting Menu on the last Thursday of every month. This is a 6 course sit in dining experience. It gets booked out fast, so be quick! Opens from 4pm and closed Tuesday and Wednesday 10/10 for us, and we will be back soon!

Not one to usually leave reviews but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity!!! The chef and owner is a self taught Thai cuisine guru! The food was authentic and delicious. The dishes have a great balance in flavour and for anyone that likes a spicy kick I highly recommend this place. Coming from Australia I have tried many Thai restaurants and I can honestly say that Liam has perfected the dishes.

Amazing food cooked fresh to order. Fish cakes were moist and tasty, crying tiger beef bites were delicious and, the green curry was flavourful & aromatic. From the day specials we ordered lobster pad thai which was incredibly good. Why then 4 stars and not 5? Music was a bit too loud to the point that made it challenging to keep a conversation. I also had brought a beer to enjoy with my meal, but the 5£ corkage seemed a bit excessive for just one beer. However, the food makes up for it all and we will definitely be back, or order to enjoy at home.

My daughter and I had dinner here yesterday and I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough. The place may be tiny but it's comfortable and very pleasing to the eye, they make up for the size with impressive food and amazing service! The care and dedication to each dish was appreciated. As my daughter is young, and wanted the Pad Thai which can be very spicy, the chef and his colleague ensured they didn't make it too spicy and cared enough to check in with us to make sure we were definitely enjoying the food. I've been wanting to have authentic Thai food without having to go into Glasgow for years. This wee place is a hidden gem that needs to be experienced by more people. Found it by google and met the nice chef who is very friendly! Have been in Thailand for two years and also tried a few Thai restaurants in different places all over UK but this one is special. Fresh and the first taste bring me back to Thailand. You can feel the passion on Thai food and decorations are so beautiful. Thanks for a lovely meal.
