Monkeys Library

This place was hopping - literally the busiest place in all of Halifax. How friggin awesome is a town where the library is where it's at? (To be fair, lots of people on the boardwalk too but felt like mostly tourists there). 15 minute moderate walk up the hill from the port. Fun modern exterior design and open and airy interior space. Great wall of little paintings, multiple rooftop (indoor and outdoor) reading areas with rooftop gardens (green roof). Stairs and elevators (surprisingly no escalators). Free public restrooms. Way to go Halifax!

I went to this place and had a great experience. The registration process was smooth. Everyone was really humble and helpful. You can book a computer, study, read books and take 50 printouts per month for free. The printout cost is 10 cents and the total monthly allowance you get is $5. However scanning is free. Limited crowd having multiple entrance with appropriate location - 7-10 mins walk from Park Victoria. Overall an amazing experience from my side.

Normally a pretty quiet and relaxing place. Has really nice views of the city from all 4 sides! Good for studying or when you really have to get some work done. They have plenty of seats however it can get really busy so try and grab a seat as early in the day as you can. Wi-Fi is high speed and reliable.
