Legacy Cakes

I am so disappointed with the cookies I purchased today! I made a special trip to THIS bakery to get some cookies. They are beautiful, but taste terrible! They really don't have much of a taste. To add insult to injury I paid $60.00 for 1 dozen decorated cookies. My husband and I ate 1 cookie and threw the rest in the trash!! I went to this bakery because the owner had been on Food network, on a bake off show! I can't express how disappointed I am!!!! I Do Not recommend this bakery😥

I absolutely hate to do this because I really thought I would love this cake since this place is so popular and it's not horrible but it's not what I was expecting. The two purple cake photos are what I sent as a reference of what I was wanting and I even asked to see the butterflies they were going to put on my cake and she did say they won't be these exact butterflies she showed me but I thought she meant the color not the size. The butterflies I saw where much bigger than what I received. My cake looked really plain compared to what I was looking for and I didnt think I was asking for too much i wanted the butterfliesto be the focal point. Not only that but there was a bead missing that I didn't notice til I got home some tiny black spots that made the cake look dirty I don't think anyone noticed since it was small pieces here and there it did start to bubble out as well. Honestly none of that is a huge deal my expectations of this place were just a little shattered and I wouldn't even complain about it if the taste of the cake was better the frosting was way too thick and the strawberry cake just wasn't it for us mind you we love strawberry cake. This was just my experience though and yours might be better I suggest trying maybe their smaller items first to make sure you like their product and maybe be a little more detailed with them of what you want because maybe I wasn't detailed enough.

This is the first time I have ordered a cake from a bakery in a long time. The staff was very easy to work with. I had a picture of what was needed on top & they worked it beautifully (a child's cake). The colors also worked great. I ordered a 6" cake. I didn't bother asking ahead if time what it would cost. Just didn't think it would be but maybe $30-$40. It was $60 (like I said, been a while since I ordered a cake). I was surprised by the cost but went ahead & got it. Everyone enjoyed the chocolate cake with colored butter cream frosting. Will recommend.

I do soooooo love Legacy Cakes and Bakery that I won’t even consider ordering cakes, cupcakes or cookies from anywhere else!!! Their products are always delicious and absolutely beautifully decorated. My favorite flavor is the white cake with lemon curd and raspberry filling. Mouthwatering goodness….In. Every. Bite!!!
