I always pop in here for a pint when I’m in the city if on my own or with my mates. It’s just a great wee bar with a nice vibe near the train station. It has a great selection of beers (no Tennent’s - but lots of other options) and the pints are always served well (no slops)- they also serve a great wee vodka. Music is decent rock etc with some cool films showing on the various screens dotted around the bar. It also attracts a pretty decent and eclectic clientele and you always get served promptly but the mega cool and unpretentious bar staff. I wish there were more pubs like this is Glasgow.

Went there with my brother in law and love the place and the vibe!!! Speakers and acoustics are amazing! Perfect sound and you can still have a conversation. Haven’t tried the food but will do that next. Definitely worth coming back..

So I'll sound like an idiot, but I got literally emotional when I walked in here. I felt so at home! I've never been here before but it's one of my favourite places in Glasgow. Nice big drinks. The audience is relatively the older metal heads. Music was great, I could sing along often. They do have a staircase to hell for the women's toilets though! 🙃 (There is another women's toilet available.) It's creepy but also part of the experience ha ha ha Toilets are plentiful and clean. I haven't tried the food but I'll happily come back for it someday.

Amazing place for anyone who's doesn't really enjoy popular music. Staff are really friendly and there's a great verity of drinks available. The atmosphere is almost electric! The decor and collectibles are bith fascinating and awesome. One of my favourite places to go in Glasgow City centre. Also close by to both Central train station and taxi ranks. Only down side is that it's pretty expensive but I feel its worth it.

Love this place. Great selection of drinks, staff are always helpful and the vibe has always been great. Fantastic rock bar that is welcoming, safe and full of character. Good selection of drinks, both beer on tap and spirits, and has a decent food menu. There's pool tables, toilets and another bar downstairs for when things are busy.

Love this place. Been coming for over 30 years.
Basically it's just a pub and needs to start getting the basics right again. I can only speak for the lager, and there are a few, but the standard is very poor now. Varying temperatures and sometimes the taste is well off. My last pint of kronenbourg , £4.20, was way too warm and had a distinct taste of chemicals, disinfectant. Strange at 7:30 on a Wednesday night.
Get back to basics please, serve a nice pint.

Sad day. After 10+ years of good nights out, new staff clearly on orders to short serve staff on spirits. Cheapness which will only result in loss if trade.

We have a love hate relationship with this place. Many years ago the food was fantastic but it's gone downhill since then. Generic pub grub, nothing special. Prices about average for what your get. Atmosphere varies & if you go when there's a gig on it will be so busy you'll have someone's @rse on your plate as an added bonus. Staff range from lovely to obnoxious (mostly the manager to be honest) and while it claims there's no sport, if there happens to be a football or rugby match on you'll find it on the telly with no alternative but to watch it. It used to be where rockers went to escape that guff. Music is usually repetitive (if you've been in twice you'll hear the same tunes). It used to be fantastic but has really gone downhill.

I was left disappointed by the Scooby Snack. There were no real standout flavours and quality-wise, it just tasted like a burger that I could order at pretty much any high street chain pub out there. It was also a lot smaller than I remember and was more scrappy than it was scooby. I’d have liked to have seen more on it – or just different toppings that would have added a little extra flavour. It wasn’t terrible by any means, but I wouldn’t buy it again. For the price, there are far better burgers to be found in Glasgow. That is not to say that the Solid isn’t a good place to go for a bite to eat, because it is. The staff are extremely friendly, the atmosphere is laid back, the music is great and you’ll certainly find something on the menu that you’ll like. As I stated previously, grab some fajitas, a beer and a portion of spicy fries and you’ll enjoy one of the best pub lunches in Glasgow for under £10. If you are looking for a great burger; however, the Scooby Snack doesn’t quite hit
