Our dining experience at Akbar Restaurant in Glasgow was truly exceptional. We sampled a delightful array of dishes, including the haleem, chicken charsi, and garlic naan, and every bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving more. The value for money here is remarkable. The portions were generous, and the quality of the food far exceeded our expectations. It's a fantastic spot for those looking to savor delicious, authentic cuisine without breaking the bank. The warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall atmosphere, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Akbar Restaurant has certainly earned a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to return to explore more of their menu.

From the moment we set foot inside, we were greeted , and promptly seated. The atmosphere was great. We ordered 2 different curry dishes , a chicken and lamb apna style . The food took about 15-20 mins to arrive , fresh , and to be honest the best Curry 100% in Glasgow. Last time I visited was a few years ago but wow have they upped their game . The food was absolutely stunning and the naan and roti was phenomenal. The waiters were friendly from start to finish . Would definitely recommend and very reasonable on price . 1st time back since covid. Food was excellent. I had one of the chefs challenges and my hubby had a beautiful dish with a mushroom sauce. Absolutely superb. Service - not easy on a table of 25. Although the staff did seem to shout a lot and seemed eager to get rid of us once we'd paid a sizeable amount with a generous tip.

This is hands-down the best Indian place I’ve ever eaten at, and let me tell you, I’ve eaten at quite a few (including in India^^). At first I was a bit sceptical because it seemed slightly pricy, but the portions are HUGE, making the prices not only reasonable, but cheap for what it is! Everything is fresh, tastes amazing, and the staff is very friendly as well. 10/10 would recommend! :)
