Bothy Restaurant

Firstly, it was a really nice temperature in there, nice and cosy. The welcome was lovely and kind. The food was delicious.. some could consider it a little pricey but I think it was worthwhile. The decor is inviting and picture worthy. The staff is attentive and genuine and knowledgeable about the menu, even made me a hot toddy. Would recommend it and would happily go again.

We popped into The Bothy for a drink as we had heard great things. The decor and atmosphere were fantastic, and we were disappointed with ourselves for not coming for lunch here as all the food we saw going out looked incredible. We were lucky enough to have some sunshine, so we sat in the courtyard. I was driving, so I had a very nice non alcoholic cocktail, which I would order again. I am going to come back and try the Sunday lunch and also would like to have brunch here when the girls visit.

What's not to like about the Bothy! Food was of good quantity and quality, served by helpful and friendly staff. It is a Glasgow must visit place. If you are travelling from the city and don't have a car then consider the Glasgow underground. The restaurant is almost across the road from Hillhead Station.

Imagine dining at your rich, slightly eccentric rich aunts estate house, with some eclectic items thrown in, a world class chef on staff and a bar that makes the best Gin & Tonic you have had. Yep, that’s Bothy in Glasgow. Brightly wallpapered, with a hodge podge of chairs at the tables. It’s comfortable with a slightly formal air. The menu is a mix of classics and some new creations. The Goat Cheese starter was excellent and the Loin of wild deer was perfect. We both enjoyed a perfect G&T and their wine list offered a number of options to suit any taste. Be sure to look at the private room upstairs and be prepare for the wallpaper in the restroom. This was one of our top dining experiences on the trip and we would certainly come back again.
