Char Burrito Bar

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I have to give this restaurant a five stars! I’m here in Geneva on nurse travel assignment. I’m obsessed with chipotle and one of my coworkers told me about this restaurant. They say it’s the best in town and better than chipotle. I door dashed it in that second & I LOVED IT. it’s honestly better than chipotle! the chicken is so tender & the queso was so creamy and rich with a hint of spice. I wish I can bring them back home with me! Until then i’ll continue to order everytime ! :)

"How about Char for lunch?" Sold! I have never walked away from this establishment unhappy. Their food is always fresh, seasoned well, and you definitely get your money's worth. The service is fast, assembly line style, and all of the people working are always cool and polite. This seems to be one of the only places I can think of lately that doesn't seem short-staffed, at least not during the weekday lunch rush. I've been happy with their burritos and tacos, but the rice bowl is what has my heart, and for under $15 (depending on toppings) the bowl feeds me for two meals. I hope Char remains a staple in Geneva for a long, long time.

I have been SO excited to finally try some good steak burrito, because that's what I imagined everyday I walk past here at lunchtime. Always smelled AMAZING! BOMB smelling Mexican food! That aroma alone is what I'd have to say, made me crave one of their burritos, honestly. So I finally go, show up about a half hour before they close, and place was in full bloom still. Customers coming and going. Pickups, were cashed out, in and out very quickly, while new customers, like myself, were happily served by a very cheerful and polite employee. The chips and queso alone are my new thing. Love their queso... A must on burritos. Prices are fair and quantity is DEFINITELY worth it! I am one new regular customer!

I've eaten here many times. It is similar to Chipotle .They keep the menu simple and specialize in tacos, burritos, and rice bowls. THE toppings are consistent and fresh. It can be rather busy, but the staff works hard to make sure you don't have to wait any longer than necessary. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The service is excellent, and the portions far larger than you'd expect for the price .

Wow, this place is UNREAL! I got 3 tacos because I wanted to try different things. Got chicken, beef and pork and had different sauces put on each. The tacos were loaded with meat. The meat was so fresh and flavorful. And the sauces! Do yourself a favor and get the southwest ranch and chipotle bbq. After those two, my taste buds were sorry I chose sour cream on one, although it was still delicious. 10 stars!

Good Mexican food in Geneva. Street parking available. The employee who took my order looked distracted and did not mention or apply the final sauces. Another employee handling the order for the rest of the family was a lot more friendlier and happily went through the order, mentioning and applying all the options available. Seeing this, the employee who took my order apologized and applied the topping sauce to my order. Hence the 4 stars and not 5.
