Flaming Buffet

So I saw some prices online (I didn’t realize at the time how old the prices were) and was expecting those prices when I got there. I didn’t even have time to look at the new prices we were seated super fast and I have my two toddlers and baby with me. Anywho I paid the bill (they were rushing us @9:30 to do everything which I guess makes sense since they close at 10) and I got the receipt and saw the price was $48.87!! So I asked for the itemized receipt. This was two adults and a 3&4yo…that’s so expensive! The buffet isn’t even all that! To make matters worse I don’t tip at buffets like that because (especially after seeing how much it was) the servers don’t really do anything. The one drink that My husband got was never refilled and empty plates were on our table until the lady came to grab the receipt. She saw it didn’t have a tip and started putting it in our faces asking “propina propina/tip tip!” Like for what? She did it to other tables as well. If they’re going to charge that much for the buffet they need to pay their employees an actual wage. I’ve never seen anywhere where someone has asked for a tip like that besides dancers at a club. That’s so tacky. Definitely not worth the price at all. Never going again 🥲 So if you needed an updated pricing here it is!

Waitress was very rude and disrespectful rushing us to leave and was forcing us to tip her. We always tip our waitresses we understand they rely on tips but her attitude was horrible and service was not so good. I didn't get her name otherwise I would of let it be known here. Needs to work better on hospitality and service. -5star rating.

The food was decent, not as great as it normally is. The main reason for the 2 stars is because only staff was wearing mask. Normally when you get up from your seat, they give you gloves for protection as well as ask you to wear a mask while near the food stations. Nothing was offered at the tables to insure safety. Many kids were serving themselves while coughing, even though signs clear says to please not allow children in the buffet room for safety.

I honestly don't understand WHY all Chinese buffets keep the seafood next to the regular food! It's a hazard to people with shellfish allergies. Do you know how many times I have seen someone use the same tongs to pick up something else after using the tong to get something that was shellfish??? Maybe they will stop when someone sues them. There is no reason to keep allowing it. Simply put ALL the seafood/shellfish on one specific bar so others can come in that do have allergies to them.

Paying for bills I came across the famous Value Pack envelope with many business inserts. It had been a while since I practiced gluttony at the buffet level so I said to myself, self, let's roll to the Chinese Buffet at a discount price. Due to Rona, many Chinese places have been closed so it was shocking to see this place open to pre-Rona status. The restaurant is located next to Highway 78 and there is plenty of parking in the front. As you enter, you're seated by a host and you see the different islands of food. The restrooms are located in the far right side of the building facing the food. The host places the drink order for your server and you are free to get your gluttony on with all of the options. You can place food on your own plate and most everyone had a mask on while getting food. The options included peel shrimp, soups, broccoli and beef, sushi, egg rolls, General Tsao chicken, classic, tons of desserts and etc., etc. etc. The food and service was ok and overall clean. The cost with coupon was $31 for 4 of us so good way to attack the carbs. It's a good stop if you're into this kind of buffets.
