Mae's Cafe

Wow! My first visit to Mae’s Cafe left me eagerly anticipating a return. It's a family restaurant with a charming old-school vibe. Everything was exceptionally delicious; I couldn't believe it. Their secret sauce, resembling a lighter version of thousand island dressing, and the crispy, flavorful fried zucchini were so good! The main dish I ordered, the mushroom burger, was refreshingly fresh and juicy. The atmosphere at Mae's cafe was warm and inviting, with friendly staff. The menu had a nice variety of options, and I appreciate that they cater to different tastes. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were pretty reasonable for the quality of food they served.

Came to Mae's Cafe for lunch. It has an old diner vibe to it with stools at the bar and plenty of booths. They have the full menu available all day, so you can have breakfast for dinner and vice versa. Our server was great and very attentive. We came during a slow window so our food didn't take long. My meal was ok. Unfortunately, the steak was a tad overdone. Maybe next time I will order breakfast instead.

OMG!!! The Lyonnaise potatoes are so good!!! I would go everyday just for those. Patty melt was OK. Hubby had the liver and onions and liked it. Dad had a cheeseburger and like his. Our server lady (I think her name was Ann) was super friendly and very attentive. We enjoyed our visit and will surely go there again.

OK let’s lower your expectations here. I gave them five stars all around but it’s a diner, so come in with that expectation. It’s a diner from my childhood and it still feels that way inside. In all honesty I’ve been coming here for maybe 15/16 years. Half of my lifetime. I used to come here late nights during college right after the gym. The food has never changed. Taste the same. It does now as it did then I’m pretty sure it’s the same cooks to be honest. I always get the two eggs and hashbrowns with a English muffin on the side. their omelettes are spectacular. They are a New York steak on a sizzling pan really hits a spot for you. If that’s what you’re needing make sure you get it with Lyonnaise potatoes, an over easy egg and toast, or biscuits and gravy. Your coffee cup will never go empty here. The only thing I’m a little sad to see gone is there homemade marmalade. Are used to be the best marmalade and I just recently asked for it it and it was given to me in one of those little jam containers. I don’t know what happened. bring it back.

Good old fashioned diner food, can't go wrong with any of the menu options. I had the special of the day and tried their meatloaf sandwich. Very filling, gravy and fries were great. Kind of rushed when it came to service but they did check up on me multiple times. I gotta come back here and try out the breakfast
