Miya Sushi

Miya Sushi is absolutely fantastic! We have been there for lunch a couple time on our trip to Gainesville and we make sure we stop in at this restaurant. The sushi is fresh and delectable. The Hibachi Grill is also just as tasty. You are greeted and a very friendly manner upon entry and seated immediately. you are immediately serve a beverage why they give you time to look over their menu. The owner always comes to our table to say hi in to make suggestions, or ask you what you are in the mood for. The service close very smoothly in the food comes out hot, and delicious! They're very attentive to make sure if you are happy but they do not hover to the point where you feel uncomfortable. There are no Hibachi tables but this restaurant is definitely very customer-oriented. I highly recommend it! Unfortunately the 2 times we have been there I forgot to take pictures as the food looks so delicious we dived right in! LOL.

Great place with beautiful decoration to give you an Asian kind of feel. Tasty food with a very wide menu. So number of options is never a problem. A bit pricey though. Good service and quick food serving. Fresh food. The waitress was very knowledgeable about various dishes and provided proper guidance for selection of food based on taste and liking.

We were excited to try this place, but won’t be back. We ordered our sushi an hour ahead with a designated pick up time so the food would be fresh. when I arrived the rolls (uncooked sushi) were sitting out at the front, unattended. We brought it home, and thought it looked SO yummy but all the rolls were room temperature. I tried a couple pieces but they tasted fishy, and not fresh. We had to throw out almost $60 of food. We feel like we wasted our money but at least we didn’t get food poisoning by eating it.

Not good. what I ordered was not at all what we were expecting. My pork was extremely dry, it’s was paper thin with tons of breading. So I ate only the veggie roll and dumplings and left the pork and rice. When he came to take our plates I asked for a menu to get something else because I was unhappy with my meal. Got fried rice and it wasn’t even good. At the very end I was charged for both and I said I would pay for what I ate but I wasn’t paying for the dry pork and sushi rice. He told me no and I asked for a manger and the manger who was sitting at the sushi bar the entire time couldn’t even come to talk to his customers. Will never be back
