I don’t write negative reviews often. This place was very disappointing They use paper plates, plastic utensils and plastic cups. They make you go up to order You have to fill your own water The portion size is incredibly small Prices are incredibly high. You leave with a lighter wallet and empty stomach The seating area is surrounded by takeout boxes. This is the kind of treatment you’d expect in April 2020, but not 2022 I am shocked by this experience. Either have respectable in-store dining or just don’t do it. I liked the other Sala Thai location, but wow this was a terrible experience.

Sala Thai 2 is one of the best Thai spots in the East Bay (and has been for many years). The team at Sala Thai constantly delivers exceptional food and service, even as they were hit hard by the pandemic. I highly recommend the spicy garlic fish, pad kee mow, and tom yum soup with the Thai iced coffee. Please consider supporting this location 🌻

Great food. Basil fried rice was amazing. Panang curry tasted great Drunken noodles was too oily. Only drawback is that right now, this restaurant was serving food with takeout materials (plastic plates, forks, containers). We didn’t get it in washable plates or spoons. It would have been a better experience if we did since the food was great. Wondering if this was a post pandemic decision to cut costs.

Pretty delicious Thai food!!! However, their service (i.e., servers’ attitude) is not that friendly!!! (Maybe because it is packed during dinner time?!!!) And their air circulation system is not that good so after dining here, your hair and clothes will have a strong smell!!! Nevertheless, their food is very yummy! If you have no clue what to order, just order those with *** (Sala Thai’s favorites)! Highly recommended their Crab fried rice Crispy fish with garlic sauce Tom Kha (coconut soup) with seafood
