The new bartender is terrible. He was working alone which is half of the problem, his personality is the other half. I waited 10 minutes for him to even acknowledge me. But whatever he’s busy. When he finally comes over he’s quite rude. I bought a $5 beer and tipped him $1 which is 20%. When I came back for a second he was like “didn’t you not tip?” How much extra do you think you’re entitled to for eventually getting around to handing me a bottle? Do yourself a favor and go down the street to New Way. They’re actually friendly.

Super strong rum and cokes. The place was understaffed had to go get your drinks from the bar and wait. Bathrooms are a little disorganized especially women's from what I heard. Beautiful view off Woodward and 9 from a few tables of outdoor seating. Four stars due to the bathroom issues and understaffing, but still highly recommended.

Sneakers is a go-to hole in the wall establishment in downtown Ferndale. Not the best place to watch a game and don't expect great food options (if you luck out and the kitchen is even open). But if you're looking to grab simple drinks in a comfortable, dark setting then you're in the right place. 3.99% charge for all credit card purchases so bring cash/debit to save a few bucks.

Horrible experience, me and my fiancé and some friends were very displeased. We are an interracial couple and so were our friends. Parked out back and thought we could go in the bar through the back door. Bouncer immediately stopped us and made us walk all the way around to the front in the cold. Bouncer in the front made us wait in the cold for 2-3 minutes as 4 people walked out. Then replied “waiting on 4 people to leave.” Finally got in the bar had a few drinks. As we were there after about an hr. we left out the back and saw the bouncer letting people in with no problem that were white. The fact it’s 2022 and people have to deal with discrimination especially in a great city like Ferndale is sad. We just moved here and were excited that Ferndale was supposed to be an inclusive town.
