The Shack

Great atmosphere. Friendly service. Excellent food. If you're traveling through the area, this is where you want to stop to eat! It's right off of 65, so you don't go out of your way to get here. Our waitress, Nicole, was super friendly and very attentive. We'll definitely come back next time we're driving through!

I got the full rack of baby back ribs with cheese grits and onion rings. The ribs were tender and juicy. The dry rub was very good, with a little sweetness. The ribs were good on their own, without sauce, which is always a great sign! The sauce was a nice addition without being necessary. The grits were creamy. They needed a little salt, but, otherwise very tasty!! The onion rings were crispy and perfectly-seasoned!! Great atmosphere, great food, and a friendly and attentive staff!! I'll definitely stop back by next time I'm in the area!!

Here's a hidden gem. The food is good. I had a delicious cheeseburger and perfectly cooked french fries. It's my go to meal for new experiences and the chef nailed it. My neighbors at the table next to me were locals who eat there at least twice a week and claim everything on the menu is delicious. Their onion rings looked fantastic. The servers are really cute, kind and attentive. But the building itself is the star of the show. Outside is as rustic as a place called "The Shack" should be. The inside is amazing. Waiting for my order seemed short as there's no end to the things to look at. Political signs, car tags, old album covers, antiques, and a little train that circles the entire dining room. I love stumbling onto special places like this.

Yall this is yet again another great find! It can be accessed if you drive a semi. There is parking across the road. It is well worth the walk yall! Nicole greeted us and waited on our family perfectly! Fried green tomatoes were especially our favorite. We ordered a great variety and took to go plates. ( drinks alchohol available) If you are on I65 get off at exit 96 and head to the Shack you won't be disappointed. Thankyall very much see you again next trip

This is a cool little joint with many positives. Nicole, our waitress, was very friendly and made the entire dinner more fun. My brisket Philly cheese steak, onion rings,, and baked beans were very good. The blueberry bread pudding was also tasty. The only negative was that my wife's pasta dish wasn't warm enough. I definitely plan to stop again when passing through Evergreen.
