Make Fish

I have been wanting to try a sushi burrito for some time now and was delighted to find a place close to our new home. Make Fish is such a great find! The restaurant is small, sparsely decorated, and very clean. The menu is decent and well-priced, in my opinion, especially considering that the fillings are made with seafood. The customer service was excellent; both the cashier and guy assembling the dishes were very amicable and polite. My burrito was huge!! Here I sit, two hours later, and I'm STILL full. And to top it off, the burrito was absolutely delicious!! I will definitely come back!

Every single time I come here it's amazing. The last time though I noticed the team member helping me used toppings that definitely looked like they'd been sitting there so that's probably something that should be addressed. Everything tastes great except I always have to sit outside on the benches because the seats inside are very small, uncomfortable and dig into my butt. I probably don't come here as often for that reason.

Never even going back ever. There sushi burrito covered with all that red stuff tasted old and bitter. Couldn't taste the inside of my tempura shrimp. Really disgusting. The service was expected to be slow. But omg wrap and roll is way better and the quality is really tastier. This place gets a thumbs down from me. Shouldn't get no star at all.

I really didnt know what to expect when I read about a sushi burrito. It just doesnt sound appealing at all, since I associate "burrito" with a flour tortilla. So I walk in, the place is kinda small and very fishy smelling. Im still ok with it because 95% of their menu is fish. The customer service was nice, attentive and pleasant. The restaurant was empty, bare but clean. The tots smelled delicious, however upon opening my box, the presentation was not pretty at all. Infact, I stared for a while trying to identify ingredients. Yhe smoked salmon was brown, my guess is that it was marinated before it was smoked?? My first bite was delicious but it didnt take long before the salt in the entree was overwhelming 😐. I made a very small dent in my meal (5 bites) and tossed the rest. I just couldnt see eating 3lbs of that. Now that Ive looked online for photos and see that their "Burrito" is just a giant sushi roll.

About a year ago, I received an Instagram follow request from this restaurant. As an extremley huge fan of sushi, sashimi, and fish in general, I became excited to try a new place. I finally got to try the food here last May and I was blown away. It was my first actual experience with poke, so I had no expectations whatsoever. On top of having a set menu of sushi burritos, sides, and other plates, they have a create-your-own option. I chose to do the create-your-own poke bowl and fell in love with how quick they finished making the dish and how amazing it tasted. Ever since that day, I make sure to visit Make Fish every time I have to drive through Elk Grove and I dont have other meal plans. All I've ever eaten from this restaurant was the create-your-own poke and the Pork Belly Fries, but they're amazing enough to place this restaurant on my Top 5 Restaurant list!
