Been waiting to go here for weeks and finally had time for it. We both had the french toast which was the perfect mixture of sweet and savoury. Staff were lovely and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

So lovely place. The breakfast is good. My favourite was the middle astern breakfast. I didn’t like the egg with salmon. BUT i really recommend the Turkish bread with the honey dip oh that was the best 👌🏼 The staff are so nice. I will definitely visit again.

Came to Edinburgh for a 3 day holiday and thankfully found this wonderful cafe/bistro.
Polite accommodating staff, delicious food, a varied menu catering for all dietary requirement. Along with the generous portion sizes for a great price La Viola excels in all aspects from service, to atmosphere, to food. It's absolutely outstanding and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

I’ve come to this place 2-3 times and I love it! Really large portions and the food tastes good, love how many menu options there are too. My boyfriend didn’t like the Scottish breakfast (shown in photo) but I love both the French Toast and Croque Monsieur! Such a cute spot, definitely recommend.

Great breakfast! Large portions for a fair price. Tons of variety; there will be an option for everyone. Lots of baked goods as well. The coffee was fresh and tasty.

Incredible and highly underrated establishment! I strongly encourage everyone to try this place out. The place is a mix of Turkish, Scottish, Italian, American, and French cuisines. My wife and I found this place at the last second and were impressed! The atmosphere was warm, polished, and professional! The service was quick, polite, friendly, and welcoming. The food EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS…and we walked in with high expectations after reading existing reviews. The “Tomato Crushed Avocado Sashulka” was delicious, the vegetables were addicting (most flavorful vegetables in Edinburgh), and the flavors were very sophisticated. The apricot cake was wonderful as well!
I hope this place continues to do increasingly well in the coming years!

Great cafe with lots of pastry and cake options! Interior design is very nice and the staff are very friendly. Food is delicious, especially the scones.

Scrumptious carrot cake, cinnamon bun and pain aux raisins! The staff is so lovely and welcoming that they offered us some free ‘Turkish Baklava’ to taste! Go give it a try, you cant go wrong with their baked goodies🤤

Good food, good price. I ordered a large lemon cheese cake that tastes AMAZING (and only for 35 pounds).
Superb service as well. I requested to try the pistachios cheese cake, and I was kindly given a tiny slice for free. That allowed me to make better decisions regarding my purchase. It was very generous of them (as I was not able to try any cakes for free elsewhere!)
