Nice place to have a quick lunch or probably a beer at night. Great sized, tasty burguer and cold beer on tap. Service customer very helpful and gentle accommodated our needs right away. Fish and chips have a great size portion, but in my opinion had no spice at all. Over all I recommend this place with a laid back atmosphere.

Tired and hungry from a long day of travel our family came across Barrelhouse Bar & Grill as it was walking distance from our accommodations. We were wary at first if it would be family friendly but it was! The staff was incredibly welcoming and very friendly! The menu seemed to cater to tourists mostly but it was still all very delicious and very well priced. Overall our family had a great experience and would love to visit again if we are able to make it back out to Edinburgh in the future!

Very nice place with super friendly people in stylish but cozy atmosphere. I tried fries and nachos for snacking. Food was very great and reasonable price. I really enjoyed and I'll definitely come again, next time for dinner.

Quiet and freindly bar serving good food and a large range of drinks on all levels. I had the very wholesome venison sausage and mash. Staff are freindly and provide a fantastic service making it all seem quite effortless. Thanks for helping us have a great night.

Excellent Staff, nice venue and great beer. Food is good individually, specials can be fantastic but overall menu is still finding its way as a whole. I.e its a better pub than its Sister the Espy which cannot be beaten for food.

Lovely welcome. Liked the decor. Great selection of delicious beers. Seating outside in pretty big but ' you'd never know it was there ' beer garden. We didn't eat here but we would definitely give it a go.

Have improved so much this past few months. Great service, great food and good value. Perfect for families, as there is play area at the back and no time restrictions like some restaurants and bars for children to leave. So you can chill and relax without rushing your meal. Also dog friendly. Highly recommend.
