Lovely friendly Scottish pub. Dan in particular made us feel super welcome with some cheery conversation. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful, friendly atmosphere with great food and drink. Izzy, Dan, and Zoë we’re running the pub when we arrived. All three were super welcoming and gave us quite a bit of their time to answer our many questions about Edinburgh (we were visiting on holiday).

Great atmosphere,great service, coffee is greeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaat:) Daniel was behind bar a credit to the pub and deserves a pay rise...hint hint :) will come again :),have returned for lunch ,Whitby scampi ...was very good ,liked the use of sea salt on the chips ,also liked was a good serving of tartar sauce,in past alot of restaurants including Whitby stint on it ,asked for extra tartar sauce wasn't required,think I am a fair judge on this as I'm a Yorkshire lad (ok old man :))

So freaking accommodating, and the food was so good. Fish and chips was great, fries combo was interesting but not bad. Overall a really great experience especially for walking in with a large group of people.

Stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb. We liked the option to order at our table (after downloading an app, free wifi available in the building). Pictured is the mac and cheese (delicious), fish and chips, gluten free beer.

fantastic place to relax with a drink in the sun as it gets the sun nearly all day food great top notch..!! inside very smart / scottish feel

Scotland game with be on the tv tonight also beats most pubs!
but for a day in the sun there’s not many bars in edinburgh that can say that!!

Can't rate the food as we didn't have any, however the atmosphere, comfort and service were all spot on, we'll visit again when we're next in edinburgh

The fish and chips is amazing! But be sure to order before 19:00, because that's when they close the kitchen!! Music is really loud, which was a bit annoying for us as we couldn't hear one another.

The moment you step in the pub smells *CLEAN*. No sticking to the floors. Pay up front so you can leave when you want. Enjoyable music at a moderate volume. Self-serve water available. Would recommend just to stop in for a quick meet up or to plan your Edinburgh trip.
