Saigon Cafe

We used to go a lot to this restaurant. I had no complaints but last time we went the chicken tasted very old. I should have said something. It had happened in other occasions but we gave them more chances. When it came to taste it was good but after our last experiences we decided not to return. Friendliness in lacking a lot, another negative. Towards the back of the restaurant we always cought a very unpleasant smell as if detail cleaning of the kitchen is lacking. So we don't go anymore after being regular weekly customers for many years. Restaurant owners need to understand that nowadays with customers having accessibility to online reviews they need to step it up in quality, price, cleanliness and friendliness. Saigon is lacking everything.

They only have one size when you order pho to go and it’s big enough for two people or to break into two meals. The broth is solid, good flavor, not watered down and full of goodness. Noodles are good, not clumped together. The meat, tendons and tripe are all fair quality. Bean sprouts are fresh and crisp, Thai basil and cilantro the same. Service was quick and courteous.

Good food and good selection. Attentive wait staff. Selection even goes beyond Vietnamese and Thai like advertised. For instance, I had bourbon chicken for lunch which I don't think is either of those cuisines. Clean restaurant. Lunch prices between $7-$12 and most dinner selections run about the same but more food and range goes a bit higher to around $15.
