Dr. Sweet and the entire team at Belcaro have been an immense help in raising my Golden Retriever puppy Maximillian into a healthy young adult. Max is my first dog and I have had a lot of challenges with him as might be notable from the size of his file and frequency of visits, though I have always tried my hardest. I know three other people whose puppies have not lived past the age of two. Despite all our struggles I remain very grateful to the team at Belcaro that Max has made it past his second birthday and that we have a good quality of life. Being responsible for this level of pet has enriched my life and is beyond my wildest dreams. The times I was told “no” to having a dog (or cat) of my own are countless. I could not have made it this far without the patience, care, and kindness of the entire Belcaro Animal Hospital staff. Thank you from the hearts of Max and me! I took a 99 yr old neighbor here to pick up meds for her elderly dog. My neighbor was greeted by name and helped quickly. The staff even took a moment to assist my neighbor with a question about something to help with her dog's stress since she has lost her hearing and most of her sight. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Dr. Otero is highly qualified, thorough and caring. She listens to my concerns and provides solutions where she can. She has also referred me to other vet specialists when required (i.e. orthopedic surgeon). When I've seen other vets at Belcaro I've also been happy. The front office staff here is friendly, fast and professional. I have always felt welcomed and valued as a customer bringing my dogs here over the years. Oh yes, I don't ever feel like the vets here push unnecessary services on you just to make a buck, which the way so much vet care has gone these days.

Had a very positive first experience here with my husky. Our previous vet seemed to like to order a lot of unnecessary tests. Dr. Edwards and the vet tech Jocelyn(?) were great with my dog, very hands-on, communicated clearly, and addressed all of my questions/concerns with complete transparency. I am excited to return here!

We started going here per a recommendation of our pet store in 2020. We now live in boulder and I make the drive here because they provide the best possible care for our pups. Love Dr.Bechtold! He saved our little girl from cancer after another vet told us a spot she had “was nothing to worry about.”. Dr.Bechtold noticed it and said it needed to be tested. Luckily he tested it and removed it for her. We are grateful to the team here!

The doctors are so kind and treat the animals with great respect. They don’t do unnecessary tests or medications. They will accommodate a busy schedule by letting you drop your pet off for the day and always find a way ti fit them in. The techs are confident and sweet with the animals and the corny desk staff is efficient and friendly. It is a busy place, but the experience is personal and about the pets. I have always recommended Belcaro to friends and continue to do so. I feel blessed to have this independent, highly competent and reliable veterinary care for my pets.

My cat, Fifi Miau, was treated very gently and ushered in a room quickly before a major dog pile up in the waiting area! That was comforting & considerate. Belcaro doctors and team are concerned about animals’ quality of life which is reassuring. My cat is old with old cat issues and the doctors understand that I don’t want to traumatize her with invasive procedures or, when the time comes, prolong her life selfishly. To top it off, their rates are quite reasonable.
